A concealed, acoustic automatic door bottom seal. RP8 Si has the addition of an extruded silicon sealing gasket for medium temperature smoke/fire door applications. RP8 Si is spring loaded to lifts clear of the floor as soon as the door leaf is opened by a few millimetres. Mounted into a 15mm x 34mm groove that has been mortised into the bottom edge of the door, it is operated automatically by pressure against the door jamb on its adjustable strike block. 
RP8 Si can also be fitted into the bottom hollow rail of an aluminium door by the fabricator.
